IRC supports five WASH resource centre networks: CREPA in Burkina Faso, Resource Centre Network Ghana, SAWA in Uganda, Resource Centre Network Nepal (RCNN) in Nepal and RASHON in Honduras. With financial support from PSO IRC has organised capacity building and events.

The first PSO-funded programme (2008-2010) focused on capacity development of the RCN coordinators and the organisations hosting the RCN secretariat. It also helped RCNs to produce useful information products and services to assert their visibility and credibility. With financial support from PSO IRC has organised several learning and sharing events, a training for the Resource Centre Network (RCN) coordinators in 2009 and supported the facilitators and other network members to participate in relevant international events and workshops.
Links with other resource centres were sought as well, for example in a workshop jointly organised and facilitated by IRC, WASTE and Stockholm Environmental Institute, where representatives of resource centres shared their experiences, challenges and worked on joint proposals.
