Abstract

In part I, the various factors to be considered and the selection methodology to be followed in energy sources assessment and pumping system selection are discussed. In part II, state-of-the-art information on the technology of solar pumps, wind pumps, hydro-powered pumps, and pumping systems using biomass energy are presented.
