| Abstract | In July 1990 fifty managers of UNICEF national water supply and sanitation programmes met at the Water, Engineering and Development Centre (WEDC) in Loughborough, England to discuss plans for UNICEF activities in the 1990s. Part of the time was also spent on a training workshop led by WEDC. This publication gives the introductory papers by WEDC, short notes presented by UNICEF delegates and reports of discussion. The workshop was divided into five sessions. Topics covered were community management, environmental issues, urban aspects, finance and economics, and institutional development. The discussion reports include in-country experiences of UNICEF projects on each of the five topics. |
