Abstract

A film about a community-based water supply programme in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. New water reservoirs and distribution methods are being built to replace the old systems, that are insufficient, in order to fulfill the water need in the barrios of Tegucigalpa. In order to help the barrio community, UNICEF in cooperation with SANAA founded the UEBM. This is a colaborative project between all barrios in the Tegucigalpa area. The UEBM helps to bring the water system closer to the barrios. It offers technical assistance, design, supervision and training to the barrios water board so they can participate in, and analyse the costs of sewer construction projects and water distribution systems.
