Abstract

This guide gives an overview of Dutch institutions which offer activities and expertise related to (integrated) water resource management (IWRM) - covering water supply, irrigation and wetlands - relevant for developing countries and countries in transition. The services which have been distinguished in this guide are: information services; education and training in IWRM; advisory services; Netherlands funding agencies for IWRM; and long-term (research) programmes. The chapters of the same name consist of an overview of the institutions that offer these services, as well as a description of the services. The last chapter consists of an alphabetical list of all the nearly 100 organizations in which the remaining information such as address, telephone number, web sites, e-mail address, general information, specialization in the field of water according to regions, and policy fields are included.
