Abstract

This short paper describes how the Mvuramanzi Trust used a participatory hygiene and sanitation promotion approach, based on the SARAR concept, to introduce ecological sanitation ("fossa alterna" and sky-loo composting latrines) in Hatcliffe Extension, a peri-urban settlement in Harare, Zimbabwe.
