Abstract

Prepared by the UN Interagency Taskforce on Gender and Water, this document covers nine key issues of gender equity: equitable access to water, land and sanitation, capacity development, participation, traditional resources, resource mobilization, pricing and privatization, and water resources and conflict. It lists actions for national governments, regional and local governments, communities and civil society and donors and international agencies to enhance equity. Sanitation is addressed cross-cuttingly except for the section on access to sanitation.
