Abstract

The chapter describes integrated research methods that were utilized in the evaluation of rural water supply projects implemented by the Government of Indonesia with support from various multilateral and bilateral agencies. The chapter describes the research methodologies and data analysis techniques used in these studies and presents preliminary findings of Phase 1 research, including analysis of gender issues. Advantages and disadvantages of using an integrated research approach are discussed, along with recommendations for future research.
