Abstract

This report provides an introduction to the arsenic statutory requirements, and defines technology categories. Chapter 2.0 presents discussions on available arsenic removal technologies, removal efficiencies, factors affecting arsenic removal, and associated pilot- and full-scale studies. Chapter 3.0 presents capital and operation and maintenance costs for each of the removal technologies in graphical format. Capital and operation and maintenance cost equations for a variety of residuals handling and disposal alternatives are presented in Chapter 4.0. Chapter 5.0 evaluates a number of Point-of-Entry and Point-of-Use treatment options effective for arsenic removal, and presents capital and operation and maintenance costs in graphical form for selected treatment options.
