Abstract

Water supply and sanitation scheme in Katooke, Uganda, was once marred by many challenges and was not able to realize any revenues from water sales hence hampering operation and maintenance of the system. Through interventions carried out by the  Mid-Western Umbrella  for Water and  Sanitation (mwUws) and the Netherlands Development Organization (SNV),  a new initiative that resulted in improvement of the water supply system was established and the system is presently fully operational with a sound management structure in place.
