The objective of this session is to fix the issues of monitoring and evaluation (why?), define the institutional contours (who follows what and what is being evaluated?) and indicate the particular economic conditions of its durability (how ?). This session will share experiences of technical and financial monitoring of village water services by municipalities, in various West-African countries, and a new experience for evaluating social intermediation provided by NGOs in Benin.
