Marielle SnelMarielle was a key member of our sanitation team and she performed her expertise in many roles: trainer, facilitator, lecturer, project manager and researcher. With endless passion and dedication, she was a fierce promoter of improved WASH in schools, menstrual hygiene management and more recently WASH and disability and WASH away from the home, advocating for WASH in health care facilities, the work place and prisons.

In Marielle’s farewell to her IRC colleagues, she stressed the importance of partnerships, in working towards the impact and reaching those we are trying to support with water, sanitation and hygiene services for life. And she reminded us of the responsibility we have in making universal access a reality ‘It will be through our consistent persistence and stubbornness that we will continue to raise to this fundamental WASH challenge’.

The IRC team is confident that Marielle will be a great asset to World Vision International and we wish her all the best in her new position.
