Abstract

This concept note provides an action plan for cost recovery in the Indian water sector based on an analysis of the existing institutional arrangements and pricing policies in the different sub-sectors:irrigation, domestic water, industrial water and hydropower. The concept note is an output of the Task Force on cost recovery of the of the initiative Blueprint for Water Accounting in India, anchored with the Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation (MOWR), and supported by 2030 Water Resources Group (2030WRG) and the India-EU Water Partnership (IEWP).
