Programa de agua potable y saneamiento en zonas rurales CNA-BID : consultoria sobre los aspectos sociales del programa : informe final

Analysis of the information obtained from a consultation work in the background of this Program, which comprises five Mexicans states. The objective has been to know the social topics related with the installation of water supply systems, sanitation and maintenance in rural communities, with particular attention in the women's participation in these rural communities. To gather all the information, the written documentation was revised, interviews ware realized with states government officials, staff of civil organization or associations, presidents of the water committees and the final users. The information obtained through the consultancy is the starting point for the design of methodological proposals that contribute to increase the community participation. Finally, specific recommendations are presented to support the elaboration of a Social Attention Program.
